I have been actively exhibiting and
breeding Shetland Sheepdogs since 1987. My line is a mixture of
O’Davak,
Barwood, Okies and McDega bloodlines. I have Sable dogs with the
occasional Tri or Bi just for fun. My breeding program is dedicated to
the whole dog. I currently have dogs competing in obedience,
agility and herding as well as conformation. When breeding dogs,
I
adhere to the ASSA's Code of Ethics and test my dogs for genetic
disease
before they are bred. All pet and companion puppies are for sale on a
spay/neuter contract with limited registration. I occasionally
have puppies available, but mostly just like to talk to people who like
to talk about Shelties. So send an email and get to know us in
Northeast
Mississippi.
More about Pyramid Shelties:
My name is Barbara
Dickerson and I am Pyramid Shelties. I
originally
started my kennel in Memphis, TN in 1987. The following are
organizations I am a member of:
Tupelo Kennel Club - 1995 (past Vice
President and Board member)
Shetland Sheepdog Club of Memphis - 1988 (past president)
I am active with my dogs in the confirmation ring and my goal is to produce dogs that will fit into any situation , whether the show ring or as a companion. As a breeder I will be available to you throughout your puppies's entire lifetime to answer questions and give you help and advice. A written health guarantee is available and I always take a dog back. This is to insure my puppies do not enter shelters, dog pounds or are left to fend for themselves.
As a puppy buyer, you should insist on purchasing from a breeder who takes the time and invests the money in genetic tests to increase your chances of buying a puppy that will be healthy and happy for a long life with you. Most breeders will welcome questions you might have about them, their breeding practices and heath testing on their dogs. You're making an investment in an animal that will be in your home for the next 10 to 15 years. You should have the best.
